Haha, I guess I kinda just automatically think doodle for anything on lined notebook paper.
However, sometimes it's nice because I'm not constantly thinking that I'm going to screw up some pricey, fancy art paper with my silliness and can work faster and looser than normal. Maybe that makes the final product better?

Yeah, I run into a similar problem with journals - I have at least six nice ones that I'm afraid to fill with inevitably meaningless nonsense.
And that's quite possible! Letting yourself work more freely probably does help. Though I suppose that could be attributed to nearly anything. But still.
