"Agh..." The noise of the groan seemed foreign to Lonar's ears. He opened his eyes but could see nothing. His breath hitched but he hugged himself, taking a deep breath. Memories flashed through his mind.

Giovanni was there, glaring unlike he ever had. Lonar had just... confronted him, but over what?

'The War.' His mind whispered softly, and he shivered. He hugged himself tighter, realization coming again as to what he had been an instrument in. So many lives, both human and Pokemon lost, all because of him.

"You're awake." A voice asked in the dark, making the Mewtwo jolt. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." The voice was calm and Mewtwo tried to peer through the dark interior towards where the man was.

"Oh, you poor thing..." And there was a hand pressed to his forehead. Lonar did not flinch, but stayed still. So far it seemed OK, and he could sense no mal-intent in the man. "You were attacked and out cold. I'm sorry, but you won't see again."

Lonar gripped the man's wrist and backed away a little, shocked. He rubbed his face slowly, finding fresh and deep scratches over his right eyes and his left was simply a cavity. He let out a choked sob and released the man, backing away as he slowly remembered Giovanni ordering an attack. There was a long period of blackness where all he could remember was pain. Then, a burst. He had blasted everything away and shot straight up. At the time he had not known where he was going and he had flown for as long as He could.

And now...

"I'm Mr. Fuji." the man said softly.

Lonar turned his face in the man's direction and opened his mouth. "Mew." he responded, voice high pitched and cute, completely contradicting his appearance.

And that's how Lonar meets Mr. Fuji, after his terrifying escape from Giovanni.
