Hello everyone. We where supossed to detail our previous week's thumbnail in James Paick's environment design class. This is my finished piece.It's your typical sci fi story. A poor district in a huge city!

really good job.. Β I've tried now to create my vision for a futuristic city about a dozen times. Β If digital art was on paper I'd have a pile of crumpled paper knee deep.Β
My only objection to this scene is the "trap" a lot of science fiction artists fall for is the dark foreboding lighting. Β Cities today aren't dark and foreboding but so I don't expect that to show up in the future.
All the same it is a scene with a lot of visual interest. Β Lots of detail and a very good work.Β

I really like this.Β I'm wondering if maybe some contrast might make a difference.Β I'm betting that you want to keep smog element, but I think you can still give the image a bit more definition.Β It is just a little light, washed-out.Β

Hey Bram! Yeah I live in Utrecht. I made a photo of that building while waiting on the bus. It is the rabobank headquarters correct me if I'm wrong. I use photos to detail my paintings
