And that, almost as much as Prince Wally winning the class presidency and Ron turning into a beaver for no reason, is one of the absolute worst moments of the show.
Think about it: she has the election for Homecoming rigged, gets gooey with Ron to cheese Kim off and plants a kiss on him. For her treachery, she's rewarded with a relationship with a moneyed Eurotrash bohunk.
Quite a message to send to children: if you're obnoxious to people, especially those who help you (and have every imaginable right not to), you won't be punished.
No offense to you, but I greatly question the thinking of anyone who can watch "Homecoming Upset" and still have positive things to say about Bonnie.

But seriously, Bonnie's not that bad of a person. It did not hurt Kim that much to see Bonnie kiss Ron. It's not like Bonnie actually physically hurt Kim or anything. There are far worse bullies in western animation, I'm sure Bonnie will realize the error of her ways in college and warm up to Kim somewhat.

Percy Feamer...Emotional scars last longer than physical ones.
Francis...Honestly, he shouldn't count, because no one on that show resembles a real person, and therefore, his antics aren't really that hurtful.
Jimbo Jones...More of a punk than a bully in my view. Besides, who could possibly dislike him after seeing "Homer the Vigilante"? ("I don't believe in nothin', no more. I'm goin' to law school!")
Mandy...Funny you mentioning her, as she's basically the same character as Bonnie, but with a different look.
Connie D'Amico...Equal parts Francis (no one on the show is real) and Mandy (same character, different design)...but I'm gonna give you this one. It takes a sick individual to throw meat at another person.
But it's not even that Bonnie is that much of a bully. It's that, for the longest time, she was this obnoxious, annoying girl, but then, the writers got too full of themselves and tried to make her more than that. All of a sudden, there were these older girls that were so obnoxious, they made Bonnie look good by comparison. Yet, we never saw or heard about these girls before or after this moment. With all the (undeserved) screen time Bonnie got that last season, you'd think they'd have been mentioned at least once. Explaining that a mean character is the way they are because of meaner relatives is not the same as fleshing them out. Simply put, that's cheap pop psychology and lazy writing.
I apologize, Tsaalyo, for going disastrously off-subject. It is a nice picture, and Bonnie is pretty (would that her insides were even a remote match for her outsides...), but it burns me up when she is treated like a kind, decent, human being, because, as far as I'm concerned, she is none of these things.

The thing is, Kim is an extremely confident person and there's nothing Bonnie could really do to hurt her. I'm of the opinion that Bonnie would probably back off if she knew that she was really hurting anyone. She doesn't go after Monique, or Tara, or even Ron all that much. It's focused on Kim because of their mutual competition. I'm not saying Bonnie's a saint, but she's certainly not a bad person.
For another Simpsons example... Jessica Lovejoy. You can't tell me that Bonnie is worse than Jessica Lovejoy.

And I don't think that Bonnie is worse than Jessica. I do, however, think that they would, at some point, braid each other's hair and paint each other's toenails at a slumber party.

I don't think she cares while she's doing it, but if she saw that she made someone start to cry, I think she'd stop. She might do it grudgingly at first, like "aw geez, stop that...", then soften up a bit and be like "I didn't mean to... ugggh...." and finally she'd be genuinely sorry and say something like "I'm sorry I said (whatever it is she said to make someone cry), are you okay? I'm really sorry..." It's not like she would go "Ha ha, you're crying, wuss!". She's not THAT bad of a person.
The thought of Bonnie and Jessica braiding each other's hair and painting each other's toenails at a slumber party is really cute ^_^ I'd draw it if I knew how to draw.
