Ashlynn and Alan got pulled along to do a soulmatch. (The 'sleeping' man ) The man got dyed black.

"Did you come to laugh about me too?" The man asked with a smile.
Alan wasn't sure what was happening or why he was there, but it made no sense, so he asked: "Why would I?"
"Because everything I did was meaningless," the man said, turning to face the window again.
"It was meaningless," Alan said. Life had no meaning, especially so for the man that will die soon and turn gray. He wanted to say that meaning is not something as simple as that, but couldn't as the scene dissolved into black.
