As you placed this into the No Mercy folder that means you want a brutally honest Critique from #thephotographyunion.
I had to ponder this one for awhile because I'm overwhelmingly in the "Like" category. Detail, contrast, framing.... all are well thought out and appealing to the eye. There are so many layers to take in which makes this piece interesting to look at for an extended period of time.
While I am a big fan of contrast shots and black/white (I'm with the popular vote in that I think Ansel Adams is a genius) I wonder what the colored version would look like. I'm also wondering about the focus of the piece. Could it have been stronger with a higher angle placing the waterfall in the lower third? Considering the aperture to keep everything in focus is that much water in the foreground too distracting? I can't say because I've never been there.
Overall I enjoy this shot immensely and can see you are a very passionate, talented photographer who brings a dramatic eye to the table. Keep up the great work.
