It has a more realistic feel to it than your former style. Also with it, it allows for more details, but on that same note, allows for a greater margin of error. Increase the challenge, increase the rewards and increase the skill. Never settle for the status quo. Aim bigger.

I suggest making the wings a little less prominent because my eye is more drawn to those than the actual figure and I think this would lead to countless comments on the wings an hardly any on anything else(unless this was your intent). Other than that the style is nice because it is not so close to the show that it seems like a lot of other fan art for mlp but is just different enough that if you where to do this more often I would be able to recognize the artist (you) as the person who made it despite not knowing the name of the artist before hand.

I love how you saved Fluttershy's personality while putting armor on her and giving a bow.
Looking at this picture I do not see weapons and tough shell, I see well known pony in fancy dress with equipment for camping fire.
I think you're not just managed to create beautiful drawings, but let a viewer to see some emotional depth in them.

Interesting new fantasy style with semi-realist details. Hard for me to really form an opinion on it with just one drawing, especially since the horned helmet doesn't quite work for me for some reason (the armour is lovely, though). Definitely would love to see more pieces in this fantasy art style, though, so I'll definitely say "don't stop". You're on to something, probably very big.

Thanks. It was enjoyable to work on and experiment with. I wanted to see if I can expand the anatomy of the characters but not so far where it doesn't reflect the show. The armor and idea actually came from a random discussion I had on livestream...sometimes chats are a great source of inspiration.

Especially a person like yourself who lives, eats and sleeps on livestreams, you have lots of them.
And you know you're already a great artist if you're starting to get urges to expand into new horizons. It's a natural and desirable urge to try new things, like someone wanting to try new foods or travel to new locations to gain new perspective on life. ^^
