You all have seen the moons orbiting its parent 5th planet of our solar system, you all have seen how the 2nd planet phases, in adherence to the heliocentric model and contradicting the geocentric one; you all had read the mathematics calculations that accurately explained the orbital movements of the planets around a Sun, which so far has yet to been disproved, and countless other empirical evidence. All of which, when you take a moment to consider, makes perfect sense!Β
Meanwhile, none of you in this committee had been able to properly produce a certified evidence to the contrary; rather than invoking lore of ancients, which could be WRONG, if the Sun revolves around the Earth and not the other way around, where is your proof?
All in all, I find it absurd this body of thinkers, this prestigous order of Natural Philosophers of the Canterlot Academy would so vehemently reject the Heliocentric model of the known cosmos even when all observations and logic points to it as true!Β
And not only had all the respected scholars rejected it, you have invoked Princess Celestia's name and various holy texts, pointing out how my observations cannot be accepted, because it contradicts the undeniable truth that the Princess raising the Sun, and thus in the mere act of making this suggestion I am guilty of blasphemy, heresy and treason!Β
Really?Β Had faith and zealotry blinded you all to reason? Had your collective pride clouded your judgement that you refuse to admit a fact you all held to be true was wrong? Have conservatism sank its poisonous fangs so deep in the Academy that it will seek to block any quest for knowledge, so long as the status quo is maintained? I doubt, with all due respect to her majesty, that the Princess herself would approve of it. If anything, she would be ashamed at her ponies for such folly!
Feel free to eject me from the academy for such 'dangerous' and 'preposterous' ideas. You may have me arrested by an Inquisition and censor my work, but you cannot censor reality! Let it be stated, now and forever, that the planet revolving around the Sun is the now empirically irrefutable truth. History shall VINDICATE it!"

It took centuries, with the subsequent Scientific Revolution and emergence of more precise models, measurements, more concrete evidence, and Princess Celestia herself coming to declare that, yes, the planet does revolve around the Sun, and she only rotates the planet to bring forth the day, before Heliocentrism was widely accepted.
