a Hern is a cryptid often mistaken for a wendigo. The main difference is a hern has antlers and tusks, whilst the wendigo does not. Hern are wild beasts that look like a mixture of a great ape, a stag and a sloth, and stands 10 feet tall. The most defining attribute of a hern is it's eyes, that have a bizarre hypnotic power that can numb and paralyse any living creature that makes direct eye contact with it. The power of the hern's eyes is supposedly so strong, that even photos and video footage of the beasts eyes have the same effect, and the victim will stay fixated on the eyes unless they are forcibly moved away from it.Related content

Well it depends, I never really confirmed if Avanna smokes. In some cases she does.

well apparently that's just the modern version of the wendigo that has antlers. The original wendigo was just a wild man that's bone thin and tall and lanky, with an unquenchable appetite for human fleshΒ
The hern is just a giant asshole XD
it basically paralyses people and tortures them for a long time for it's own demented pleasure, before finally eating them ^^
