Sometimes called a Joshua Tree, around here, we call it a Yucca.

This is just a small example in a pot, about 2.5 meters tall. In the wild, they can grow to over 5 meters. There is an area in the Mojave Desert known as Yucca valley. All you can see for miles is Yucca Trees. Very beautiful during the day, and very ominous at night.

Most of the pictures I take are in the Mojave, it's where I live. Check my early photos in my . The last couple of pages have some good landscapes of the surrounding desert.
