Despite how you feel about the lettering I think the style is freakin dope! Mainly due to the rounded feel it has from the colouring... I think that could look real fine with a few more pieces done like that. Unfortunate about the green though, I felt the same way stuck with green and blue.... Keep up the good work... Nice avatar.
