I'm not really sure how to help you. Try starting the drawings off as block and ball shapes and then add details; that helps me with perspective.
If you go to posemaniacs.com there's a rotatable tool that has a torso and a bunch of different hands; at the very bottom should be a foot model you can rotate however.
