As of today, September 25th, 2005, the doors of the hide commemorative museum will be closed forever. The museum has been open since shortly after his death and will now never be open again.As a fan, I am very sad to see this happen. I feel as though hide is going to be stricken from our memories in this action. So, to show my support for a great musical artist, I made this.
It's not much, but I wanted to let people know, we won't forget. Those of us who have kept hide in our hearts all this time, we won't let this callous act shut him out. We won't forget.

(by the way there's a petition up somewhere on some hide site (can't remember which one at the moment, but) they're trying to tear down the hide museum and anyways, the petition is to keep them from doing so!! if you're interested, i can send you the linkage!)

I'm sorry to say, but the petition failed. As of September 25th, the museum was -officially- closed. Maybe they'll reopen it one day, but it is now closed, so says official sources.

That is beautiful! And yes we will not forget him. We fought to keep the museum open (got over 10 000 names) but even that didnΒ΄t prevent the museum from closing. ItΒ΄s sad. But I guess we have to move on. He shall not be forgotten!

I wanted to visit it as well. I mean, I'm not the hugest hide fan, but I recognize all the contributions he'd made to J-rock and really wanted to experience his stuff first hand at the musuem. Now that can't happen.
