Description Here's another yokai! This is Seto Taishō (General Seto). Seto comes from the word "setomono" which are Japanese ceramics (like ceramics from China are often referred to as "china"). Fitting right in with so many fable-like Japanese stories, this little guy gets formed out of cracked or chipped porcelain that has been tossed out without proper reverence. In revenge, the pieces gather to form what resembles a samurai foot soldier who charges at anyone he sees. However, due to his smooth body he often slips and falls, and the rounded bottle on the tip of his spear is too blunt to do any real damage anyway. He can easily be tricked into falling and breaking even more, giving you enough time for a quick getaway; but beware! Before long the pieces will regather and he'll start charging at people once more! He's so silly and adorable and most definitely one of my favorite yokai! 🍴🍶🍵🍚 Prints available here .

Definitely silly! I'd never heard of this yokai before, but as it's a particularly interesting one thanks for informing us about it.
