Description The dark of night comforted her as she slipped through the cold air, walking as silently as any wolf might. She had no pack, no one to travel with her as she strolled through the forest. Her legs carried her easily and without any trouble, as if she was made to be alone at night. Others stayed out of her way, fearful of her. Either that, or just plain panicking because a famous killer was in the woods. This lone wolf had driven a stake of fear into everyone's hearts over the past few years. Somehow, most creatures found her a heartless wolf born to kill. The few who knew who she really was knew she was just lonely and afraid to let them into her lives after what had happened to her.

Her name was Naomi L. Moon, Naomi to those who knew her and the Forsaken Assassin to others. The 'L' stood for Lunea, her middle name. A unique name that meant 'the light of the moon and stars.' Fitting for her. She was jet black, fur long and body slightly smaller than most. Her looks startled most. Just above her blue-gray eyes, the lunar cycle was engraved in pale silver. Paws pale silver and a large pale silver tip on her tail proved her odd. But one marking was not born with her. A single scar. On her shoulders was a 'X,' stained there in red-pink. As she walked, the scar seemed to be more visible.

No one really knew how she'd gotten that scar, exculding herself of course. One rumor went that she'd gotten in a hard battle, another went that she recieved it by being abused. The most plausible one was that she'd recieved it when she was young, by mysterious means that seemed mystical to most. The fact remained that it was there and probably would be for the rest of her life. Weakly some of the elders could remember her as a pup, hyper and playful. Everyone else doubted that, Naomi seemed too cold and too sad to have ever had a good young life. The memories were dismissed and said to be 'too unreal to have really happened.'

The ground was solid beneath her paws, and she walked with an elegant step. Stopping at a lake, where a waterfall cascaded over the rocks, she sat down. The damp shoreline was cool under her feet, a welcome change after spending hours walking on sore paws. Naomi walked into the water, feeling its cool movement around her ankles. The water was deep near the middle, and had to swim to keep her head above the liquid. Soon she was beside the waterfall, legs paddling her into it. The force of the downpour shoved her head under the water. She swam a bit farther, to her den behind the waterfall. Her head came up, and she crawled up onto the shore.

The rock here was comfortably slick, and little opals were enbedded in the front entryway. Naomi walked farther into the cave and laid herself down on the black silk cusion she'd taken for bed. The fact that she was wet did not bother her, at least she wasn't bleeding. Her eyes began to drift closed. She refused them the ability to close as she stood and walked to the entrance of the cave. Sitting down and staring at the world through a forever flowing curtain of water, she saw the full moon. Her head was leaned back, eyes shutting as the urge filled her throat. Taking a deep breath, she obeyed this whim. Opening her mouth, which showed fangs of gleaming white, she let it out.

A long, mournful, lonely howl burst from her throat and filled the air inside the cave, filled the forest. All could hear the desperate cry from a lone wolf, sad and forever lonely. As she finished her song, Naomi slipped to her side, lying down. Her mouth shut and her eyes opened slowly, no longer cold but extremely sad as she stared at the glittering opals. The gems cast a dancing light across her face. She whimpered slowly, mourning the fact that she was lonely. When would this horrible heartache end? She'd finally been freed, so why did she feel so...depressed? Was it becsue of the fact that she wasn't like anyone else?

Raising her head to gaze at the water, she watched in sorrow as the water crashed into the lake. Slowly she began to lose consciousness, mostly from exhaustion. Her head lowered to the cool ground, her eyes closed in slow motion. Then, as the last of her awareness faded, she sighed. Blackness took over her vision and her mind, shutting her down.

Naomi L. Moon fainted.

Very awesome story. I have one similar to it, <3 I really like wolves and tend to associate a lot of my stories with them. But yeah, great job.
