The Kasselburg is a ruined hill fort on a 490 meter high basalt floor at the community Pelm near Gerolstein in the Eifel district in Rhineland-Palatinate.
The castle is surrounded by the Eagle and Wolf Park of the Volcanic Eifel district, which is also responsible for the direct care of the castle.
The Kasselburg is, as the Eagle and Wolf Park open to the public and there is daily a feeding of the timber wolves, and on some days, a birds of prey show
For an additional entrance fee you are allowed to enter the predator enclosure into a seperated area with just a small electric fence so you can take photos of the wolves without a fence in the picture.
