This shot was taken at Copacabana in Rio.A bit of trivia, after this was taken, a thief attempted to steal my camera (with a knife to my stomach). Fortunately I escaped with both my camera, my life, and this panoramic. So you better enjoy it! It nearly cost me my life lol

You said in your "deviantID" that you think that an artist should be appriciated for his or her work. Although you seem to get the recognition you deserve Β through the number of comments you recieve I thought i would add one Β more insignificant comment telling you how good you are. I'm going to go by my own preference since i'm not actually good at photograpghy and say that the timing on the positioning of the waves makes the motion imaginable and the feeling of precence in the photo strong. For me long into the ocean has always been a dark place in which human do not likely thrive and that is really captured with the darkness in the right farther away for land and the light by the mountains.
I'm happy you survived so I could see this photo and I apoligize for any misspelling or grammatical error for I am not a native speaker of the English language.

This picture has a dualistic feature in it: firstly it feels like the storm is gathering and the peace is like memory long gone, but then one starts to feel serenity because of the beautiful landscape.
I really like pictures like this for their emotional variety and soothing colours. Good work, mate!

Nice capture. Be careful man, there are a lot of dangerous people in Brasil. They can kill someone for 10 bucks, I've heard! Or at least do not go alone. Travel as a group.
