Well, that's how you would pronounce it. It's another version of the name, János, I believe Jack in english.

Well, it's a debate actually, because if we take the biblical John, he is translated to János, but Jack is also translated to the same... weird.

Hell, it is most likely due to the different languages.
For example, I'm not seeing the name Gervásio translated in Hungarian (you say it "Zserwázìo" btw).

I don't think we have anything like that XD ofc every country has it's unique set of names, like Lilla was created by a hungarian poet back in the 18-19th century, and today it's a well known name, my gf has it too. Nowadays I see some translated versions of it like Leela, and others which just don't seem to be right.
