My entry for Node-Gamer 's art contest!

Mimir was a subject for a titan forge experiment to awaken the primal orc genes in a goblin.

She was sold off to the titanforge by her family and had to undergo numerous torturous tests.

Upon realising the next test would surely kill her if it fails she tried to flee. She made it out to the open and unfortunately stepped in a magic landmine that took not only three of her limbs but also her eyesight.

As she died from her mortal wounds, a forest spirit with vampiric properties posessed her reversing her death by absorbing the mana around her, healing her injuries in the process.

She now is a demon.

Although the spirit posessing her is not one with good intent. It took advantage of her weakend state and tries to take over her body, which is by itself manifested in the likes of Mimir's ability. Though to her it's more akin to a curse.

Anything she touches either withers, rots or corrodes due to the magical energy being sapped out of the object or living being touched and absorbed into her body.

The only good thing about that is she now passively gathers magic and powers up, returning her goblin form to a stature similar of that of the orcs of old.

With nowhere to go, being hunted by ouroboros, for being a threat by nature alone, and not able to have any contact with anyone, she ultimately joined the Crows.
