I think you could accentuate that sense of movement even more by cropping a bit off the top and giving the picture more of a panoramic aspect.

I would love to have a photo of the second after too...unfortunately my autofocus decided to spaz out on me right after I took this photo, and I wasn't able to get a picture of the ladybug flying away. I decided to switch to manual focus shortly after that.

Hehe...and it was a long way! Scary stuff for just a tiny ladybug. Good thing he has those wings, they come in handy I'm sure .
Thanks for the complement! At first I did try cropping out the empty space on the left, but I really didn't like the result. I think it looks much better this way
