I generally don't do holds unless discussed beforehand; if you pay with points, I expect you to have the points in hand when you commit to the purchase. The only exception is if the clutch hasn't been accepted to the group yet; I won't ask you for points until the clutch is in the group.
When paying with levels, I expect payment in a week or two depending on the amount of levels. If you haven't finished your payment by the agreed deadline, I reserve the right to put the Pokemon back for sale.
That being said, it is OK to ask for a couple of extra days to finish your payment. Communication is the key! If I hear nothing from you I can only assume you're not interested anymore.
