Boer Great Trek. 19th Century set. Paper Miniatures, 1/72 Scale. For more paper miniatures visit www.juniorgeneral.org/. Can be used in Wargames, RPGs, or used on history classes as image resources. Cut with a scissor and fold.

This is great. It might be worth mentioning that the Boers also suffered severe defeats at the hands of these African polities, such as the Zulu, and in some cases barely survived. In the end, they managed to negotiate land agreements with the various African chiefdoms and kingdoms, which were at this time very loosely defined due to internal wars before the arrival of the Boers.

Thanks. When I made this in JG (back to 2015) I had also planned to make some sets for the later periods (mostly for the Boer wars), so maybe some day I will finish them.

 

The Boers and their wagons also had a quite significant relevance for the Portuguese colonization in South of Angola still in the beginning of the 20th century. They were often hired to provide logistic support to the troops.
