They were all destroyed. This is a limited production kit from what others have said.

Interesting, I'll have to go back and read the other comments (I usually do, but lately I've been in too much of a hurry).

I've seen this car at the Goodguys show in Pleasanton, CA a few times. It's pretty cool.

Agreed. It's fun to look at history like that.

Is this the real deal or is it one of the kits you can get now?

It looked to be, and the owner claimed it to be the real deal. They were hauling it around in a show trailer. Who knows?

As has already been determined, '54 Chevy Nomad. Corvette look, as I understand, built on a full-size Chevy wagon chassis. I have a period pic with the Nomad, Corvair and a production 'Vette convertible. Sweet pic.

The rarity factor makes the 54 beautiful but the 57 wins from its long standing classic status.

Rare is putting it mildly, daddyo. That is a '54 Corvette Nomad. GM only made three of these beauties. They also made a 2-door fastback sedan that was 'Vette-inspired in '54 called the "Corvair". Shame they only built one of those; they're GORGEOUS.

If you look in the front window of this Vette, you'll see a copy of an article speaking of those very cars!
