I love his work (wish there were more available in Finland ) but it wasn't Tardi who made me interested in the Great War....

Agree. And about Dix... that's scary stuff he has done. So creepy, eerie... and yes, great work!

Vau.... vvaauu!

I really like this one, Tuomas. The human drama and feeling is very powerful. And whoa! I just had music for this go through my head... I hate that. Anyway, you've captured well the humanity and feeling that comrades have in the face of trial.

Thank you! I noticed that portraying German soldiers` sense of humanity has been very rare subject when it comes to war art, so I decided to do this. Plus, that British enemy tank rolling there looks threathning. Germans used their own tanks in late war in 1918 (and captured enemy tanks with Iron Cross decorations in them, but this would have been hard enough to illustrate and explane)....

True. I was going to comment on the fact that you portrayed Germans (who were afterall humans like the rest of us and still are, obviously) but I didn't know how P.C. that would've been, so didn't; but as you brought the subject up yourself! I really appreciated that you chose to do a scene of Germans.
