So I'm pretty fond of the whole, "Dinky is Derpy's daughter", headcanon, but I figured I'd come up with my own idea on this. I've also recently discovered that people think Amethyst Star is Dinky's sister because they were seen competing together in Sisterhooves Social. While I do like the Derpy x Dr. Hooves ship, I've also came across the shipping of Derpy with this background pony named Ponet. I decided to go with him in order for this headcanon of mine to make more sense, since you know, he's a unicorn.

So Derpy (Or Ditzy Doo, Muffins, whatever floats you're boat), and Ponet are a married couple, and they adopt Amethyst Star at one point. She's like 7 in this picture. The 3rd picture (Amethyst is still 7, or maybe 8 in this picture), Derpy gives birth to Dinky Doo. Amethyst Star and Ponet come over to admire the new addition to the family. Since Amethyst looks drastically different, that's why I decided to have her be the adopted daughter and sister of Dinky.
