I have just ben appointed chair of the local art society. Mainly retired folk, bit conservative in their art. I wish to break a few of their paradigms and make them think about their art as art not just pictures they have painted for local exhibitions to sell to tourists.
I have a plan for our next meeting - they will be asked a few pointed questions about some paintings put before them, like "how does this art change your perspective on things?"
This particluar piece is a brilliant 'still life' for that process. Are you happy for me to consider using it for that purpose?
I am not sure yet if I will project the images with powerpoint or place some printed copies around the room and get them to gather in small groups in front of each and discuss the response as a group.
