how does fly with tail

The tail is likely lightweight and allows passage for wind to keep it flying

Not to mention the horns and the fact that the tail somehow transitioned from hair fibers to feathers (although it’s possible that it started out as more of a down or underfeather texture and then more developed feathers bloomed out of that)

What would it be made out of though? There’s a reason peacocks can’t fly. Feathers get heavy when they bunch up. Their wings would have to exceed the weight via size and thrust to overcome gravity in order to fly, and even then, it would take a tremendous amount of energy to continue to maintain flight.

My point is, the design looks great but I don’t believe it’s scientifically possible.
Unless magic.

Trying to scientifically disprove how a horse can fly is a bit silly, because everyone already knows that horses can't fly. The way horses are structurally built would make it near impossible for a horse to actually fly, I mean even for an average human to fly they'd have a wingspan of ~7 meter/22 feet/670cm. An average horse would have to have a 15 meter/51ft/1555cm wingspan, which is stupidly long and, even then, their bodies really aren't generally built for flight, so it'd probably not end well.
Also its a myth that peacocks' tail are the reason they can't fly well . (Also, technically speaking, they can fly, just not very far)
Not really sure why you're trying to disprove pegasus logic when they're fictional creatures in the first place lmao

Thank you for the clarification on the peacock tails! I didn't know that (obviously)
I like to try and make things scientifically correct for a mix of self entertainment, mental exercise, and comedy. But yes, I see your point.

hair tail did not transmission to tail feathers, it was simply shorn down as his tail got larger (not included so he design isn't that busy), peacocks are also perfectly capable of flight in short distances and can flap with enough power to get up on tall buildings and go through the air for more than one or two flaps, his head can also support his horns just fine similar to a mooses or elk, he's also,

A. an immortal god at the age where his tail is fully grown and large horns are grown in and thus doesn't get tired the same way a human relying on silly things like laws of gravity, proportions

B. A horse with wings so you know, he can't really fly in reality or any horse for that matter so not sure what spurred this on lol

Didn't actually know peacocks could fly... guess it's like chickens

I'm a scientific minded person, I like debating and twisting things into realism or ruining perceptions, not in a bad way, just in a way like saying 'the letter A is a sharpened pencil'
I have fun testing my knowledge and questioning things, especially when I get answers like these, so thank you!

Its likely magic  because how the hell can pegasi in the regular mlp show fly with their tiny wings?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheGameartist03 In reply to ARThropodJay [2020-01-15 01:45:25 +0000 UTC]

They're two-dimensional so they really only have the weight of a paper, therefore it requires less thrust to fly.

Something like this depends on the number of "stages" involved. I'm trying to get things worked out, but I charge between $60-$80 per pose.

Funny enough, this type of commission isn't listed in my master info sheet. I just recently updated it, and now it looks like I have to do it over again.

I'm not open at the moment, mainly because I just took a huge one. I post journals with open slots when they're available, so keep an eye out for those.

In the meantime, here's my prices:
