Adorable it really looks different from each angle. It's like an explosion of steam punk magic

So, I can't wear this on an aeroplane, can I? Pity! It's amazing, Professor.

Oh, and the metal allergy? How on earth do you make the things? Doesn't the itching drive you nuts?

I'm quite sure the TSA wouldn't notice or care... then again, they seem to only notice the harmless crap, so who knows.

On the allergy... I don't really notice it when making stuff, only when I wear it. Even then, it's more like an irritation than anything else. As soon as I take the offending metal off, the irritation goes away.

Oh my gosh, that's wonderful! I couldn't buy it (allergic to metal), but just wanted to say that's one of the coolest pieces of jewelry I've seen in a while ^^

Why thank you. I too am allergic to metal, which is ironic because I like to make jewelry.

Wow -just to jump into this conversation- what's it called when you're allergic to metal, and how does that affect your life?

Well, usually it's specifically a nickel allergy, but nickel is used it almost all metal alloys, which means almost all jewelry can cause itchiness or rash. Even 14k gold and sterling silver have nickel in them. Basically, all the jewelry I make starts to bother me if I wear it more than a few hours at a time. I can't really even wear my wedding ring anymore.

Wow, that's horrible. I'm sorry to hear about it. It must be hard. Though it's good that it's not severe. I was afraid that even touching a doorknob could cause severe reaction. But despite that, your metalwork is very cool. That ring really truly does look like a mini-bomb on your finger.

Nah, in my case at least, it's very minor. I only notice it if I'm wearing jewelry, and then only if it's in direct contact with my skin for an extended period of time. Thanks for the comments.
