Description
While not the most powerful or largest ship in the Imperial Navy, when the Arquitens-Class Light Cruiser (commonly referred to simply as the Imperial Command Cruiser) makes her appearance on the battlefield, her commanding presence is inescapable. As her name implies, she carries out light duties in service to the Empire. Oftentimes, simply patrolling occupied airspace and acting as a constant reminder of Imperial influence in Outer-Rim systems. These tasks are not without their share of danger or importance, but are more often than not tedious at the most exciting of times. And that’s exactly how she likes it. Fewer firefights means fewer trashed star fighters to brush out of her hair at the end of the day.
As she functions as a mobile communications center, she can be quite talkative, and can easily maneuver and manipulate discussions at her will and to her benefit. Unfortunately, her lofty, and self-confident talk far outclasses her record on the battlefield. Because of her frequent position in less stringently occupied worlds, she is often the target of small scale, yet effective, hit-and-run attacks and has been bested countless times by seemingly harmless insurgents. This begs the question, how did such a dainty and seemingly powerless cruiser acquire such a prominent position in the Navy? A question pondered by her sister ships in the fleet, yet few dare openly pose it.

Believe it or not, I usually try to avoid over-sexualizing my girls. In this case though, I made a slight exception to better capture the propaganda poster style feel. Speaking of, the Aurebesh text reads “Long Live the Empire” for those of you who, like me, are a little… meh on the Star Wars alphabet. What can I say? They don’t offer that class at University.
