Day 5 - Favourite Maniraptoran
This was the first genuinley difficult choice, because there are a lot of extremely cool maniraptoran dinosaurs. In the end, I decided to go with Deinonychus antirrhopus. It really cannot be overstated just how important this animal was to the history of paleontology. It's discovery is what started the dinosaur renaissance, making it probably the most signifcant piece of evidence, apart from Archaeopteryx, linking non-avian dinosaurs to birds, and the intelligent, active lifestyle that comes with it.
