Mali, Ongard wasn't even born when I got this one. Mali was about a month or so in this one

Aw she's a sweetie. You should get the both of them together, they are extremely cute play fighting!

VampyBrooke In reply to TVD-Photography [2011-01-22 05:42:38 +0000 UTC]

Aw I just saw them again today they were adorrrable! I love Ongard, he just runs right on up to Mali and headbutts her and she tries to run away. Reminds me of me and my brother .

TVD-Photography In reply to VampyBrooke [2011-01-22 05:59:49 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I saw he was climbing all over her last time too. I only wish the keepers would stop hanging around constantly, they have ruined lots of my photos looking more natural >.<

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampyBrooke In reply to TVD-Photography [2011-01-22 10:42:35 +0000 UTC]

OH. I know. Don't even get me started. Today they were driving me absolutely mental, those keepers. They can't honestly need to be in there ALL day, Elephants survive well enough out in the wild without someone keeping a constant eye on them. And they're always bloody distracting them and pulling them up to the back where no one can see them!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TVD-Photography In reply to VampyBrooke [2011-01-22 10:44:38 +0000 UTC]

Exactly my point! It's something that really annoys me, no matter when you go see them the keepers are there

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampyBrooke In reply to TVD-Photography [2011-01-22 10:52:35 +0000 UTC]

They don't bother any of the other animals, which annoys me even more. Why the Elephants? Is it purely for the calves?! It's ridiculous, move out of the way, people want to see them, not you !

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TVD-Photography In reply to VampyBrooke [2011-02-06 00:58:14 +0000 UTC]

Haahaa I know I think it is because of the calves. They are important but I mean they don't need 24/7 supervision. The tigers are more endangered but I don't see the keepers hanging with them

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampyBrooke In reply to TVD-Photography [2011-02-06 06:05:26 +0000 UTC]

And I'm really sure when the Tigers were just cubs that the keepers weren't in with THEM 24/7, honestly! Let them have a bit of freedom. As long as they're tame enough to not attack and let them conduct medical tests on them, leave them alone.

How bizarre! I have a photo of a baby elephant doing the exact same thing. I thought it was a unique behavior, but apparently it's common. Yours is a much better photo, though.

I think all babies like to climb and feel their way around, they are quite playful

TVD-Photography In reply to daniellepowell82 [2010-06-01 10:29:57 +0000 UTC]

I just burn my photos to CD and hand them in to the FotZ office with a letter saying that I give permission for my photos to be published in the mag for non profit
I don't really sell a lot. I have only started them here on DA, haven't sold one yet Seems people enjoy them but not enough to buy right now
