thats the reason the ice has a sorta fire element to it.
i might add some more effects and retouch some stuff later.
i guess this has a dark fantasy to it, idk...

this is really cool! How did you do this? I love how blended two feelings together to give the viewer a sense of how you felt when you drew this! Things are a blur, sort of to mix up the two sides (my first impression). Lots of people have tried to manipulate two sides into art though. Still, this is one of the best on deviant art! Wow, just wow, a being half of pure, all chilling ice and half of pure, all consuming fire. Just the expression alone gives this piece a truly remarkable feel to it. The detail on the freezing cold wisps of icy energy and the burning hot flames give it a dramatic kind of element to it, and no I did not intend the pun of the word "element" in regards to this piece of art. It's been a long time since I gave a perfect rating to a critiquable deviation, but this deviation truly deserves this perfect rating I gave it. Keep up the nice work.

Well, for starters - wow. I like how even with everything going on you made it look smooth and composed, like she's walking out of your worst nightmare to kill or kiss you (this makes me want to write some fantasy novel explaining her life and how she got to this moment in time) I really like the way you did her lips kind of rust colored but still with the bruising. It would be pretty cool if you could make it look like her skin was charred on the fire side and got frostbite on the ice side, but without it it makes me think she's immune. I love how this pictures raises questions in your mind once you start to think about the details. The hand is what I really think is the most amazing thing, the placement makes the ice stand out a bit more than the fire. Good job! I hope this was at least slightly helpful.

I also like how this piece has so much contrast, the lighting is amazing and hits the right places, the fire ends at exactly the right area on her face. I think with the ice it is really impressive how you were able to make it look like it is burning, ice is very stiff and solid but you were able to make it flow but also look like ice and not blue flames. My only suggestion though is on the ice side of the background you may want to add a hint of white frost, to make the ice stand out as much as the fire bg. because the fire bg is wow.
