The High Priestess 🌙
My First Tarot Major Arcana Card 

This drawing was admittedly a rollercoaster for me to work on. Too many hours were spent on indecision and pushing graphite around hoping to land on something I saw potential in. So many restarts, edits, and lack of motivation all in the crazy mix of everyone talking about NFTs and making a quick buck with others seemingly flexing on one another.

  I really had to center myself the past few weeks and even starting a daily morning “self care” hour to read, write, and stretch in the sunlight. It’s been a journey getting back on track and especially working when you’re not feeling it. The High Priestess was a sluggish journey for me. I will eventually post a more detailed narrative about the card illustration itself and the meaning behind the different elements included and what they stand for!   

I want to say to any person, not even necessarily an artist, that goes through a period of apathy and confusion in your own field or direction that it’s not fun. It’s not easy to push past. And even once you do, sometimes staying on track is rocky at best. It sucks. But often as I’m starting to see that it’s not how or what you’re working on, it can be outside influences and situations that are trapping you up. Figure out the difference and let go of what you can’t control! ✨
