I dunno why people dislike this pokemon. I like it. As I mentioned here and there - some sort of legendary version of Dunsparce, lololol.
Also, as I'm already talking about it - did you notice how 6th generation legendaries have the colors of 1st generation games?

I think Zygarde is pretty cool. The "glowing hexagons" aspect of its design really appeals to me.
Plus, its Pokedex entry leads me to believe that it's basically a physical manifestation of the Earth's consciousness. Which is pretty awesome if you ask me.

It's design according to some people (fakemon artists, trust me they know what they're talking about) is boring, and according to Competitive players is way weaker than Xern or Yvel and although it has some really good moves cannot keep up, but honestly it definitely is just like Kyurem, it's gonna get a Mega or something and it's power and design are going to shoot through the roof! .3.

Zygarde mi się spodobał. Był chyba jedynym Pokemonem, którego fani przewidzieli. Xerneas jako Pokemon życia, Yveltal jako Pokemon śmierci i Zygarde jako Pokemon Równowagi. Wzięte żywcem z mitologii wikingów.
Kiedy stanąłem do wali z Xerneasem byłem rozczarowany. Wystarczył jeden Sludge Ball mojego Dragalge'a żeby pozbawić go prawie całego życia i zatruć. Co więcej złapałem go w pierwszy Ultraball.
Zygarde zajął mi trochę dłużej, bo MasterBalla wykorzystałem na Mewtwo.

I've been missing your fantastic work. Think they're going to make a Z version? I feel like they didn't go into Zygarde's story that much, which reminds me of what they did with Ruby and Sapphire with Rayquaza.

Yes I think they'll go with the Z version. I have silent hopes that it will have better, more logic (even for pokemon I found Lysandre reasons nonsense), plot. Like XY was "hello" for newcomers and Z will be something better.
And I hope for more post game options, more dungeons etc. That Looker story was nice, but not enough to get me satisifed. I would love to get some kind of contests/movie/musicals - I usually hate them but when you have beaten the game and you have nothing much to do anymore, it at least elongates the your play time.

Myself, I love Zygarde! And I love your painting style as well. The subtle touches of purple and orange are very nice. The RGB colors are not uncommon for Pokémon. They did it for gen 3's legendaries. Additionally, even more common is the red and blue combination. In that case, gen 4 (pink and blue) and 5 fit, too. Though Reshiram and Zekrom are white and black, their secondary colors are blue and red.
I'm a bit tired of Pokémon trying to pander to older generations instead of producing actual new content. I never liked generation 1 much (mainly because I wasn't there for it). I got on the boat at generation 2 and prefer its Pokémon far more.

While Dialga and Palkia are interesting examples of usage common colors in Pokemon, I think Latis are better illustration of this pattern. I belive the reson of pink(red) and bue is the gender colors introduction (female player is red, male is blue, also ♀ is red etc), so that's why Latios is blue while Latias red. Some sort of relation can be seen in newest Mewtwo's mega evolution forms - Y Mega Mewtwo, despite having "Y" in name looks more feminish and gets red eyes, while Mega Mewtwo Y has blue eyes. Of course both colors come from purple (and this may be the reason why recently leaked Mega Latis are purple/violet as well).
As for blue and red in Zekrom and Reshiram - I don't think it's a strong trait.
But there were few times where RGY were used - japanese first generation, and as you said - weather trio. Intentionall or now - it's definitelly interesting.
Pokemon series should evolve, for now it's the same game over and over again. I'm very disapointed with the story in the XY. After BW, I was hoping for something more... sophisticated than - let's beat all Gym Leaders, get rid of random nonsesne evil team, and become champion (oh, and we may fill the pokedex again, why not?) - story that I know since Kanto generation (actually my first generation was 2nd generation). XY is very good for newcomers and maybe old fans that just have returned to pokemon, but it failed to impress me with it's plot, and some ideas.

Yes, the Game Freak People themselves mentioned that masculinity and femininity were big themes. In general, this disparity is a major motif in Eastern games, too. The duality of elements in the natural world goes all the way back to Daoism and Lao Tsi.
I agree, Pokémon really needs to change its focus or put less emphasis on the time-and-tried but boring collectathon of gym badges. Honestly, it seems silly to me, at times. Oh, I just saved the world from assured destruction and captured a legendary Pokémon. What? I need ANOTHER gym badge before I can fight the Pokémon league? xD You'd think a life-changing event like that would shift the focus away from petty sporting competitions like the Pokémon League anyway, hehe.

i tried to catch it today but after failing 3 times i got lazy ID
but i also really like zygarde ^-^ very beautiful colors and cool design 
i think it would look even better if it was longer XD
and the colors of the legendaries could very well be a reference to gen 1 since the game is full of those!
the forest looks like verdinia forest, waking up a snorelox with a poke-flute, a route that goes from the first big town to the pokemon league, being able to catch one of the 3 legendary birds
and therer are many pictures in the luminose city museum that show places from diffrent regions
oh and therer are many part of older soundtracks in the game
i've heard the champions theme is a mix of all previous champions themes^^

Except some hints about new region , some hints about Hoenn region (Saphire and Ruby aniversary, Peeko in musem etc etc), and some nods for genwunners (Kanto starters, Mewtwo), I don't think there is anything more to say about.

I was in love the second I saw it.
