But if the gems were created by entities, for what purpose?

Like, the beings from Star Wars who helped guide how things would develop in some way in that galaxy?
I had a theory that maybe the celestials could've made the gems, first the diamonds, and granted them magic, or the force as it's also known.
and then, once they saw how the gems didn't value organic life beyond it being fuel for themselves, so they went to the main Star Wars galaxy, and tried the same thing, possibly creating the Tho Yor to take force-sensitive organic beings to The planet Tython, where they would learn about the force and grow their knowledge, until the celestials left them to grow and learn on their own.
Right up until the gems invaded their galaxy, and they fought back against them, and used the gems to make the first lightsabers to oppose them, and used the Tho Yor to defeat and trap every gem within their galaxy inside their gemstone, stopping their invasion.
This also caused them to split into those who followed the light, and those who followed the dark, the ones who'd be known as the Jedi and Sith.
As for the gems, none of the diamonds had been in that galaxy at the time, and eventually they found their way to earth, and had another war, this one being from within, from a plucky rebellious rose quartz and her Crystal gems.
Homeworld lost the war, and had to retreat once again, and thousands of years later, a young boy named Steven, the human incarnation of rose quartz, and the remains of the Crystal gems, got a message on a wailing stone from that galaxy, and, despite some reluctance from the gems, went there, to a desert planet with twin Suns. Right around the time a young moisture farmer on that planet received a message meant for an old Jedi knight nearby, and set out to find the droid that ran off with it.
What do you think?

It'd be cool if their creators were the sneople that Ronaldo predicted.

This reminded me of the Creators in the Cinematic Transformers Universe (as bad as those movies are, the concept of creators other than Primus intrigued me).
Excellent piece, sincersly I also though about this a long time ago, that maybe their creators were organic and slaved them and the first gems, and that's why the resent organic life.

My thoughts are that these unknown aliens are the original creators of the Gems. It probably ties in to a fandom theory that the Gems were created by an ancient, technologically advanced race, but the Gems eventually became powerful enough to overthrow their creators and drive them to extinction.

Maybe they pulled a Crystal Gem style revolution to overthrow their creators and formed their own society. It would be cool if that were the case since the Crystal Gems themselves basically repeated the same thing in a similar way.

Oh yeah.
I mean I think it would make total sense that the Gems would be built as conquering weapons. Because unlike other life forms, they don't need to eat, sleep, breathe, or do anything that other life forms do, and they don't need to reproduce since they're pretty much ageless. However, they do seem to want to conquer and mine other planets of resources despite not needing these resources in the long run.
This would only make sense if they were built by a race that viewed itself as superior and wanted to 'cleanse' the universe of 'inferior' life forms. However, the gems took the 'imperfect' life forms to mean anything that's organic in nature (since a life form that doesn't need to feed or recharge is ideal and more efficient), so they seek to purge the universe of 'flawed' life forms and killed their creators.

I don't think the Diamonds created those beings they're looking at. Rather, I think its the other way around.

Seriously. THIS IS AWESOME.
