That's really nice of you to adopt Woogle! He looks like such a sweetie.
(And the 3DS makes for a very convenient camera haha, I use mine as a camera too since I actually take it everywhere!)

That sounds cute too! XD Our cat used to nibble on our toes!
And so true! There are so many missed photo opportunities, if only for the sake of memory, because the lighting was just a tad too dim for the poor 3DS to handle! XD

poor 3DS indeed, but still a good enough camera for small time photography~
though I don't have any multiplayer games, do you want to trade friend codes for when I do~
Should be getting my hands on Fantasy life this Friday, so maybe we can go explore if your interested in that game?
If so please send yours through note so that it gets kept private~

Indeed! Although it's lost a lot of the novelty now, it's still fun to play with. Showing people 3D pictures is fun too, especially for those who have never heard of the 3DS!
I also think it might just be the Origin Island and the extra pets and stuff, but I didn't like that that was actually included in Fantasy Life: Link! and purposely left out of ours, even though it's been out for such a long time in Japan already. I would understand if it was just recently released and maybe they needed more time to translate and debug it or something, but this is obviously a case where they are cutting out content...especially content that was free in Japan! I'm sure that DLC won't be available on just day 1, they would be cutting a lot of potential sales if they did! It must be a pain though waiting for the postman when you're anticipating something so exciting!
Yeah, I've read some reviews and watched a few videos, and it looks like a mixed bag. On one hand, the concept sounds great, and some reviews really back that up. It's beautiful, addicting, and a great balance between a sim and an RPG. On the other, it also sounds like the whole system is very shallow even though there's a lot of it. It's rife with repetitive, dull quests and a weak battle system for those who are used to more hardcore RPGs. I did like that Level-5 was behind it, and the music should be lovely! But it's always nice to hear from a "non-professional" reviewer to see what they think, especially in cases like this where the reviews are quite divided. ^^

True, but I agree it is still fun and a total time waster for those days when one is utterly bored
Thta's what bugs me though I think Link as an expansion was paid for, as you got multiplayer access as well as a new area, items and pet's etc too, but I agree for it being a year or two old now, it either should be free dlc or cheap as heck like £5~ I feel it rather cheeky that they intentionally excluded it from our version... but everyone in the videogame industry want's to con you like mad
Just take the PS4/Xbox One, they make the console so that you're forced to play online all the time but make it so that your charged for it's service, the cheek? lol but what can we do.. everything is such a on these days hmm
EXACTLY GIRL!!!!!!!!!! lazy git is always late grr hasn't been all wekk, not a single day, so he better come tomorrow or else XD
I know, your right and I agree totally that it's very unique, I feel that it may be a title to intrude new audiences to the RPG franchise (notice that it's dying ou, even in Japan) so like Nintendo always like to do, introduce a new audience, make the game at your own pace, not to hard not to easy and see if that reels anyone in~
But it's not alone, over the last 4 or so years Final Fantasy has got a bit linear and repetitive and people still praise that, even the Tales of series with it's ever changing battle systems lol I've for so long wanted one of those games that your free to work at it when you wish... I am near the end of my almost 110 hours of Xenoblade Chronicles and this will be a game that get's me back to reality again lol
True, I read one official, one amazon and several user reviews, but as I pre-ordered this user reviews will be useless as I hopefully will be playing it for myself tomorrow but usually I check out as much as possible and as little that would ruin it for me haha

I was under the impression that Link could be purchased as either an expansion or as an entire game (with all the original stuff included), though I didn't look too much into it and could be wrong. But yeah, it has been released like that for awhile and it's not exactly cheap either... XD Oh well, at least it does have online in it, which is nice. Even without Origin Island, it is quite an expansive game. Oh well, it is better than some DLC that other games have had! Some of them are just so sketchy, not to mention expensive! And I think the Xbox One fixed the thing where it had to be online all the time so it isn't so any more, but that still leaves a very poor impression on people. How has Fantasy Life been for you so far?
A lot of games contain more or less the same gameplay they have had in the past 10 years, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's difficult to come up with completely novel experiences nowadays when so many ideas have already been used. And developers aren't always willing to spend millions on innovative ideas in case it doesn't sell (so usually the small, cheaper indie games have quite some interesting ideas as opposed to the bigger companies). Still, even as old as the gameplay style is, it is tried and true and people have fun with it and will continue to praise it. And I agree, Fantasy Life sounds like a fantastic game to introduce new gamers to the RPG genre. Not too difficult, still a good amount of customization, multiplayer aspect, and the appealing graphics certainly help!

I'm not that familiar with the Xbox One since I never planned on getting it and the Wii U has satisfied me well. If I did get another console, it would be the PS4 since there's more potential exclusives there that I am interested in haha.
I personally don't think there's a problem with adding multiplayer into originally single player games, so long as the single player part is not compromised. It's always nice to have more functions and replayability in the game, especially for people with siblings or fast internet connection (and I know this does not apply to everyone). The problem comes when the game makes the single player more like a side quest and the multiplayer is a must to beat it successfully or to really enjoy it, which I think is what you're getting at. I personally don't play online very often (I think I played it twice in two years on the Wii U!) and my sister and friends can't always play with me, so I like me my single player games too. I'm very glad that games for Nintendo systems so far have been a great balance of both single and multiplayer to cover all occasions.
I do agree actually and know what you're getting at. The media just loves to hate on Nintendo for some reason or other. I suppose it is "cool" to because it's considered childish and immature, even though it is not. Just because a game has gore, sex, and drugs in it does not make it mature, and in many cases, the opposite happens, especially online. These "mature" games target teens who wish to be seen as adults, but the content itself hardly makes them adults. Anyways, it is a shame that innumerable "hardcore" games are all the same thing within the series with a few tweaks but rarely does anyone they're just rehashing the same thing. Then when Nintendo continues their series, people somehow all jump on the bandwagon and hate them for it! Oh well, that is how things are going to be.
And my understanding for Hyrule Warriors is that Tecmo Koei was the one that made it (and in terms of female design, this game is pretty tame already compared to what they normally put out), and Nintendo just published it and made sure that everything was "okay." Many share your sentiment on Lana though and aren't fond of her. I played the game and she's ok. She definitely comes off as way more annoying and Mary Sue in the trailers (she *is* indeed a Mary Sue though, just not too bad in my humbly opinion. I don't think she's there to help "sell" the game so much as just provide a character archetype that isn't present in the game and give her a unique moveset that other people wouldn't be able to use, minus the staff which could have gone to Saria). I don't like how revealing her outfit is since she's supposed to be the opposite of Cia. But I respect your opinion on that. I would have preferred a design that wasn't so in-your-face paired with her personality, because she doesn't quite fit in the world. It seems like they plopped an anime character in there at times. Otherwise she serves her purpose fine.

My brother says that console-wise the PS4 and Xbox One are identical in almost all specs, so for performance you haven't got to decide lol but what is important and what a lot of people fail to realize is that it's the games we buy the consoles for, so if it's lacking in any decent exclusives, why are they bothering boasting XD
Me and my sister have gone off Sony, have done since they discontinued the PS2, it just hasn't many good games anymore and what remains of it's original mascots is a joke to the gaming industry....
That's what I say, but what they are aiming at is shorter games with more multiplayer (cheapskates) like they are planning to completely wipe out single player gaming... like we all have friends lol or that we have internet connections that are fast enough to keep up with modern gaming or that we even have basic access to begin with or even want to share our experience that much, gosh gaming is so selfish these days hmm
Exactly, they have a few Multiplayer games, a few multiplayer/single player games and they have enough single player games and folks are still complaining O.o but most haters are secret closet Nintendo fans... my brother has that sh*t attitude like anyone else you meet and he plays Super Mario all the time
Well it's backwards to think like that to be honest, a game is a game.. people should be lucky that Nintendo haven't completely sold their soul~
Your totally right, I agree with you much!!! why do people hate a company for doing it the honest way? People prefer rehash, rinse repeat, copy and pasted games over originality (somehow I can't believe that)... because a game is colourful and cutesy does not make it gay to play or aimed at babies lol exactly what you said, because it contains adult themes doesn't make it mature lol a fan base is what makes something mature or not and Ninty fans know how to compose themselves whilst others act like the real babies this generation is a bit screwed in the head.. besides all these hardcore must have games (Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, GTAIV/V, Destiny, FFXV, L.A Noir, Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed 3 and 4, Castlevania Lord's of Shadow two, Sonic Lost world/Boom, Titanfall, COD Ghosts, Wolfenstein, thief..) the list goes on and on.. lol all these games were hyped bad and turned out to be ultra crap and disappointing but will they learn, no! hmm
They got Miku from Vocaloid, tarted her up and put her under a new name into the game lol What I admire must about Nintendo heroins is that usually they are girls you'd look up to from a child's point of view, they are smart in ways, intelligent in others, dress appropriately, talk properly and aren't stupid bimbo's (like they are portrayed in other games) still your right that she is pretty mediorce but hopefully this isn't a start and that somewhere down the line female characters don't follow suit and end up dumb and useless...
