Mmm, yes... Here by the Red Giant Dragon!

My favourite part is his wings - by far. Then I love his teeth. Then his neck, then his spikes, then that freaking huge tail.
(If he and the Blue Giant Dragon made babies, they'd be purple! )

I love doing wings like that. I haven't done wings like that for a long time. *le sigh*

Well, some info on Red Supergiant Stars...

Y'know Betelgeus? Antares? (No, not 'BeetleJuice! ) Red supergiants are the biggest freaking stars in the universe, volume-wise. (I say volume just because of sheer size and width - there are more massive and denser stars out there - being as though they have denser and stronger gravitational cores, etc...)

Red supergiants are burning helium like runners burn calories. ( XD ) The stars have to have at least 10 solar masses, (ten times the size of our sun,) to swell up like this. At this point, they're getting old, so despite their fiery hot appearance, they're the coolest stars - temperature-wise. (About 3500-4500 K... Very, very cool in galactic terms, actually!)

And just for a size comparison... Y'know the orbit of Mars? Like the giant circular path it takes around the sun? Well, Antares is wider than Mars' entire freaking orbit. And, if you tried to fly around one in an ordinary aeroplane, it'd take you up to 1100 years to circle it...once.

And THAT'S your astronomy lesson for this dragon!

Red...and orange...and his stripes. Every time I look at it, in my mind I think, 'ALL RED!' then I see it and see all the other oranges and yellows and creams on the dark black backdrop and it makes me happeh on the inside. X3
