Part 2/2 of a Trade with LupineMoonFeather of FurAffinity, this one an experimental Painted Bust of Aquilla!

Ahhh, LOVE how this turned out! I tried a bit different technique than before, but still similar to how I do my Realistic Shading, and it turned out so niiice. I learned a lot with this piece, and really wanted to push myself with all the textures, from the feathers on her neck, tufts of fur in her ear, and the down on her face. I did also try painting everything in with only a couple colours, then applied Aquilla's actual colours afterwards - kind of awkward, and something I'm going to play with on future paintings.
