Description Wanted to always try these for a while, but I had to wait till one of the roses in the front yard was in full bloom until I took this shot today. The rest I did in Photoshop cause I never really tried it until now. The result, it looks cool and not bad at all...Maybe I can make black ink run off the grey leaves for the hell of it..but later.

blur the edges more in the outline of the rose. :-P other than that it is really beautiful the color is amazing well done using your talent and skills combined

My only comment is the outline of the rose isn't as tight as it could be, thus creating a halo effect from the desaturation at the edges. I've always been a fan of shots like these. Or ones where the background is almost completely unsaturated and the foreground supersaturated to create an unearthly color without going completely b&w

Absolutely stunning colour (I adore red), the contrast is very striking. A very beautiful image.
