The best way to describe Cory is that she's a sarcastic, rash, and tough skinned amazon of a woman who doesn't give two cents of your shit and isn't afraid to get into a fight and break a nail when the situation calls for it. When first meeting her, she seems pretty civil enough to interact and neutral of things though will take some time for her to be able to trust you enough. Depending on the impression you gave her, she'll either be a bit teasing (for good) or snappy and rude for bad impressions. Like most Zoroarks, she does have a mischievous side to her and will be able to show a bit of her playful side if she feels up for it. She also has a bit of a competitive streak when it comes to things like sports, games or even gambling - though she hardly gambles unless otherwise but isn't stupid enough to waste a huge amount of cash. Which she can be a bit finicky when it comes to money as she is saving it for purposes and needs to come...

Despite these traits, the most you'll be able to see her vulnerable side from her hard exterior is when her child is around. For her son Racen, she is a stern yet nurturing, caring and loving mother who loves her child more then anything in the world. Plus, you'll see she is pretty more playful with her kid. Be forewarned though, if something happens to her son, you better run or you'll face the wrath of an over protective mother. She'll rip you limb to limb like a lioness Pyroar fiercely protecting her cub. She'll also be protective to those who are close to her and are friends of hers like a protective mother type. That is... If you managed to get close enough to her. Get to know her longer and she'll open up to be a rather pleasant, funny and loyal person to befriend. Heck, she'll even tell you a few dirty jokes of what she knows of... When Racen's not around to hear them that is.

H I S T O R Y

Cory was born and raised in a military family from the Unova region. Her father was in the army and came from a long line of brave soldiers, who would often travel with his family from one place to another whenever he was reassigned for a stationary mission. Though transferring to a new school was no fun either while the twin brothers, who are two years older then her, did like the traveling however more so then her. She was a real tomboy and rambunctious little kid growing up, often picked out as an outsider by most kids while she gained a reputation for picking fights from the bigger kids and using her illusions to pull pranks to those she doesn't like. Even on the teachers she disapproves of resulting her being the bad kid in school. And every time, she was nearly threatened to be expelled or transferred over to a military school if she doesn't change her attitude. Even her older twin brothers were scared of her... To a level. Though reasons why is because she doesn't like seeing the weak being picked on as she views bullies as nothing but cowards picking on those who don't fight back. Even though her father disapproves of her behavior, her mother however, knew that the zorua meant well and was pretty encouraging, though gave her words of wisdom that fighting is not about getting stronger. More so, it's about being strong for those who need it and that someday there will be a calling for her. Plus, most of the time Cory did it on purpose as she would explain why, because that said kid was being an annoying little a**-hole and deserve a punch to shut up she complained so much about... Then her mother would secretly rewarded her to ice cream.

When she reached middle school, her family moved once again to Castelia City where they finally stayed and her father retired from the army. This time Cory being a little more mellowed out. Despite that, she still retains her spunky and tomboyish personality though caused less trouble. She began to try to make friends making few, among them was her first and best friend, a Riolu boy named Harper. And since then these two love to hang out with each other as they got each other's backs (despite the envy and over protectiveness of the older twins she calls idiots). And this friendship was carried out in high school when they both evolved and Cory was a target of interest of a guy who was a grade ahead of her... This boy was another Zoroark named Yosuke Yamamoto - the hot popular guy in school (who would one up even the Kurokawa Twins). Even though she was aware of Yosuke's flirtatious tendencies and denies many of his advances, the two slowly, and eventually over time from hanging out started to fall in love, got her first kiss and became high school sweet hearts. After Yosuke graduated, she promised to be with him to college after she graduates while her brothers went away to attend college and receive apprenticeship from a high class architect company. The wait and getting through the tortures of school was all worth it. Cory graduated with good grades and went to the same college as her boyfriend and moved in his apartment, while Harper pursued to attend a police academy with his girlfriend. And like any couple, Cory and Yosuke experienced the ups and downs of relationships but still find a way to retain and reconcile. When Cory was 19, she and Yosuke went out to have a little fun during their break and well... Let's just say they got so romantic that they took it to the bedroom and it turned into passion. Weeks later, she found out that she was pregnant... Fearing on how Yosuke and her family would react if they found out, she went to consult with her friend Harper as he was the only person she knew would help her. After some talking to, she started to feel better as she mentally prepares on what's to come. First, she told Yosuke the news mentally ready for what she thought would be the result of a break up... Surprisingly it didn't as Yosuke, as shocked as he may be, was also delighted as he loves kids and would love to help Cory raise their baby together. She was about to tell her family before Yosuke stopped her, pulled her aside and knelt with one knee with a ring to propose her.

Eventually the couple got married and Cory gave birth to a son, who they named "Racen". Things seemed all happy and Cory became a stay at home mom for a bit to take care of their infant son before eventually going back to college. However, something happened... While Racen was being babysit by her parents, Cory and Yosuke had a fight. It was all a blur that she knew little what the fight was about to where she stormed out to go visit a friend... Though this was the last time she'll see him. Cory got the grim news from Harper that Yosuke died in a car accident. Hearing this news, this was the first she's ever cried the hardest and carried a heavy burden full of guilt that she wished she fixed. But... She never had the chance. After the funeral, Cory dropped out from college to be at home with her little son. She fell into a state of depression, but with help and support from friends and family, she was gradually feeling better. Though her main motivation was her baby boy. It was then that she swore that she'll protect their son and to raise him to be the way they wanted to raise him.

It has been six years since her husband's death, being a single mother wasn't easy but she held on well, and now Racen is a happy little ball of joy. She got some schooling in, with a part time job as a self defense instructor at a local work out gym. Yes, she found her calling and it hit her from the words her mom told her years ago as a kid. So she found a solution and that not only would help get some steam out on what she likes, but also helping others how to defend themselves. She got word from her older brothers (now multi-millionaires and business partners) that they want to take her and Racen with them to go on a business vacation with them to the tropical resort of Poyi. She thought of this first, a little hesitant because of how expensive it sounded, her mom encouraged her to take this opportunity with her brothers. With that, she and Racen packed their bags and met up with her brothers to take a boat to Poyi, for a vacation they'll never forget...

Cory's maiden name is "Kurokawa", so her full name would of been Cory Kurokawa - Yamamoto. Though she doesn't mind being addressed by her late husband's last name.

According to Yosuke before his death, in high school Cory was the first girl to say "no" so boldly to him in which most girls would of said yes in his presence is what made him so attracted to her.
Cory still feels guilty for causing the fight that killed Yosuke. If she had the chance, she would of apologized to him and told him how much she loved him.
As part of a disciplinary action, her father signed her up to take a martial arts class. Though this only enhanced her fighting skills and thus she's good when it comes to hand-to-hand. And it also came handy for her occupation as a self defense instructor.
She tends to use her illusion ability in the form of an ugly overly muscular questionable female(?) of a different pokemon species on some random guy that tries to pick up/hit on her and seeing their faces cringe. Heck, even Racen knows this trick and finds it really amusing when his mom does it.
