For 's Ben 10 reboot project, this is the Nemetrix's answer to Rath. Unlike many of the Omnitrix's other species, Appoplexians are the apex predators of their native habitat. As such, the Nemetrix's rival for Rath is not a predator, but rather the most powerful/well adapted prey animal from his homeworld. This species has several adaptations to combat Appoplexian attacks; first of all, it is heavily armored to resist strikes and bites, and possesses a head designed for ramming. More significantly, the species possesses quills along several unarmored portions of its body. These quills are filled with chemicals which, when injected into the bloodstream of an Appoplexian, can induce different neurological effects, most notably negating the predator's natural aggression and hunting instincts. These toxins can also have other emotional effects, ranging from making the Appoplexian incredibly sad to miking it cripplingly afraid. In terms of weaknesses, though strong, the species is fairly small, about the size of a goat, making it easy for an Appoplexian to lift one up and throw it around, provided it avoids the quills. Additionally, their legs, heads, and underbellies lack the armor that protects their sides.
