Really nice work on this pic ! Your lighting is unique . You really push the use of contrast really well the gradual move to the shadow . the only things I see that you might want to work on is first how your shading you used more of a comic shading doing layers of light and at times blending parts of layers . I have a question is there another light(s) to the right ( as you looking at the sketch ) of the sketch pad ? If so I might recommend adding a bit of gray to the transition between lights especially since it is bent and the blue/purple light is where the shading from the other light would be casting a shadow there . I might also recommend working on prospective A.K.A. Angle . if you look at the clip on the left that I put the piece of paper seems to be in front but move to the back what I might do is just move the end line over to the end of the face sheet and that should fix that problem. in the second pic ( going from left to right ) the paper seems to be sinking into it's self which can be fixed by just moving the line on the  bottom edge of the note pad so that the corners of the front and side meet . Now for the last pic that I took ( far right ) I can't tell if it's because its bent ? and not the obvious ( in the back that I common in sketches of sketch pads and books but is it being curved from left to right like someone is pushing the back of it ? honestly an easy fix will just be to turn the face of the sketch pad to make it flush with the side look at this note book and you might see what I'm saying .
Honestly it's a great pic ! good job!

Ahh sorry for the late reply and thank you much for the criticism it's really in depth and points on a lot of things I can work thank you vey much. when do I work on lighting I'll probably start working actual background (or have them be smillar colour to white) so when I do the lighting it makes sense because most of the time I'm shading I have a mindset that's like "hey I'll put just put the colors in other random places so I can be consistent." But I'll stop doing that. I'll adding start adding a bit of Gary so it can more of a nice transition especially when I add different colors when bending light. Now onto about prospective I can totally agree about working on it more because I really suck at it and I'll practice doing it more often. Now the reason for about the sketch I end up making it just one black back because I wanted to make it more "unique" in ways but looking at it now from a realistic perspective it doesn't make and any sense so I'll probably just add another front so when it craves it can have two unsaid of one and it makes more sense and last thing about sketchbook binding it was suppose to make it more cartoon-ish in a way but it didn't really work for this.
But overall I really appreciate the criticism very much it was very in-depth and detailed, Thank you very much.
