Same, I just don't get it. I love Scottish twins x Iron twins because of how different they are and how the Scottish twins could learn something from the Iron twins given how little the Iron twins seem to argue and I love Splodge x Pip & Emma because it seems like a class difference sort of ship with Splodge being poor and underappreciated and Pip and Emma being rich and respected but there just doesn't seem to be anything interesting between the Scottish twins and Pip & Emma.

Yea I love Splodge x Pip & Emma because it's a massive opposite attracts ship because as you said Splatter & Dodge are both gullible, dorky and aren't really respected by everyone while Pip & Emma are both very smart, pretty and are like popular girls. And Splatter & Dodge have a massive crush on them but they are worried Pip & Emma won't like them.

That's exactly how I see it too. I plan on making a Scottish twins x Iron twins fanfic that partially explores how the Scottish twins deal with the disagreements between themselves compared to how the Iron twins deal with the same thing. Part of the reason that the Iron twins don't argue hardly at all will because their grim line gives them a realistic perspective of what's really important in life which means they don't let silly arguments divide them and the Scottish twins will take this advice to heart.

Honestly I would rewrite most of the episodes were Donald and Douglas argue and replace them with Splodge. Because honestly Donald and Douglas arguing is completely out of character for them. I mean they both own each other there lives and should be more close together than the rest of the twin characters. Splodge arguing how ever I can totally see being in character for them and it would actually be funny. The Splodge relationship between Splatter and Dodge would be kind of similar to the relationship between Zip and Zug from TUGS.

That's true, I think the Iron twins could make them realize that they should appreciate each other more given how they both were almost scrapped. It makes more sense for Splodge to argue more given how their personalities are fairly different with Splatter being more talkative but less intelligent and Dodge being more quiet but smarter.
