Well, I absolutely LOVE the movie Brave. And I'm happy it won..buuut I was actually rooting for Wreck it Ralph to win. I think that it truly deserved it, the animation was out of this world. I think Brave won because it's a more relatable plot- it's a fairy tale, it's about family...it's a classic. I just think the members of the Academy were just a little bit too old to appreciate the modern video game concept. So yea.

I was rooting for Brave - until I saw Wreck-it-Ralph
I think both of them give very strong feelings - both sad and joy, but I guess Brave has a this wonderful scenery that are more realistic, also (as you say yourself) the plot is very relatable 
But I think you're right about the Academy members being too old

I don't know which movie provoked more emotion, but I do think "Wreck it Ralph"'s animation was a smidge better than "Brave", and honestly just very unique animation. But I agree, they're such different films, it's hard to compare.

Okay maybe the emotion thing is kinda subjective - also I saw Brave at home and Wreck-it-Ralph in the theatre
I think Wreck-it-Ralph has a lot more interesting concept with creating all the new worlds and such and the animation and characters are amazing and original, but I remember being completely stunned by the beautiful scenery in Brave
They should have different categories for animation then maybe other studios, who aren't Disney and Pixar, would have a bigger chance as well
