Description a gift for my boss, emily. i'm a dance instructor at the studio she owns. i love drawing dance in my photos.

I do wish I still danced. Too bad I feel that I've never fit in to such a shallow world. Even at my best.

This is a dancer with a secret. And sore toes.

Very nice figure work here. Her body is very expressive, which is perfect for a dancer (I know a fair few). This is a really nice piece. I hope you color it some day.

aw thank you thank you thank you! I do plan on coloring it, I'm just so busy with the holidays!
And I tried so so hard to get that body right, the position is pretty difficult to draw anatomically correct. I'm fairly pleased with the results, but I can still sense some minor flaws. lol

I honestly don't think her face suits the rest of her body. It's almost as if it's too cartoonish...? And it reminds me alot of 's style.

I know what you mean! It's been crazy.

There are a few errors, but they're pretty minor. This is a really great piece.

I agree though that her expression could be more subtle, but I still like it. This has to be my favorite of any of your drawings.

oh wow, thank you! haha. what a compliment. This piece is better than most of my work in some ways, and then not nearly as good as most of my work in other ways. lol I hope to achieve a balance some day. lol

I always wanted to do ballet...never got to though. Everyone says I have the body type for it, but I dunno if that really makes a different O.o

haha, it just depends. i don't have the body type at all, but i did pretty well. ^^ and you said you like to dance on your own, so you probably have more of a natural grace than you realize.
