this is a nice little thing. ^^ i like it.
although, a meyer fan could point out that meyer has sold 5 books for 42 million copies, compared to King's 75 for 350 million. that means that meyer sells roughly 8.4 million per book and king sells 4.6 million per book.
of course, a rebuttal could be that stephen king is writing for a smaller audience, whereas meyer can get the teens to over-the-hills, especially the massive pop culture numbers.
and king did say she was a good story teller. she just can't write. king is criticized for having the same things in most of his stories: the crazy theist, the nerdy hero/heroine, the assholes, the unexplained supernatural, and the addiction/disability. but, then again, doesn't everybody have a sort of style "gene" that affects the make up of all their writing?
Shakespeare? people screwed by fate, try to rectify makes it worse, bad guys die, good guys then die.
Ray Bradbury? kids are powerful, nothing is what it seems on the surface, good things die, technology will get you killed.
Agatha Christie? the cops are always wrong, Hercule Poirot is gonna get it right, everybody has a motive, the bad guy will die.

Not really, there was no crazy thiest in twilight, for the most part, the nerdy hero/heroine in sthephen king is likable. And finally, the assholes in Stephen King's book are INTENTIONAL. Unlike Bella.....

i dont see what you mean by the "not really, there was no crazy theist in twilight," because i dont think i said there was one.
and i agree that i like the kids/nerds in a king book. its kinda like a Spielberg movie.
