Description These Tassie devils were so attached to their keeper...literally! Apparantely for security and comfort they latch themselves onto their mothers...you can see she has done just that and is happy to be patted by the tourists!! Amazing!

Ha ha, while they're young they latch on for a hug and are happy to get a pat from tourists. Once they're a little older they like to latch on for a bit. Great shot.

I heard that many of them were wiped out by a disease. How are they faring these days?

They are still suffering greatly from the facial tumour disease and the state and country are still trying to stop it and find a cure! Its so sad.....

That is sad I hope they find a cure soon.

I wanted to visit Tasmania last July for summer vacation, but found out that it's pretty cold there in winter. I assume that December through March is probably the best time of the year weather-wise. I ended up going to Queensland.

yeah it is really sad! Yeah at the moment it is ridiculously sunny......November through March is the best time to come over!!!! You should make a trip!
