I sincerely doubt Dartz could ever get Yugi to betray his friends and join him without some heavy mind control involved. So that’s what happens since Dartz has full control over souls I think he pulls a Shadi and manipulates Yugi’s mind to make him see his friends as evil (not that hard when Yami betrayed him) So like in Leviathan Rising; the orichalcos stone makes him tangible so he goes out to get revenge on the man who stole his soul and is puppeteering his body.
