Gravel thick, slick with spitHate rips from your vocal chords
Cacophonous in your rage
It sings to me with sweet notes of pain
Ringing red in my head your doomsday refrain
I twist the knife just to hear it again
That pure articulation of expressive torment
And you lament
your mouth a gaping vent for superheated hatred
Allowing me to bask in the fire of your discontent
Seething and discordant
I do love the sound of your voice
