What is used for the colouring? It's such an odd texture.

Just colouring pencils like pretty much all of drawings have been up til now. The reason it has an odd texture is because of the grain of the paper, and for some reason I had forgotten to smoothen out the pencil with a stub/tissue like I usually do. At which point it was already uploaded. When I realised this later on I did smoothen the colours, but I can't replace the image on the deviation page, only delete it and upload a new one, which seems a shame after the unexpected popularity it's had!

Agreed! Though I think it's more likely they'll use that modern concept of the Interceptor that cropped up recently... to be fair, though not in the same league as the original, it did seem to fit the bill rather well.

Agreed - back then it must have looked very futuristic - though the stock car does look different, and has a different front end more like other cars of its time. It sure is an awesome car, all through the first movie I was hoping we'd get to see some good footage of it... and then in the second I was upset it got smashed so early on

Oh snap! The V8 Interceptor! Man that's one of the coolest car I've ever seen in the movies! For a 73, it's design is ahead of it's time. It was a shame that it got wreaked in the second movie. The first time I saw that, I was like, "Aw man, are you serious?! That's a sweet ride!
Ah well, but it was still a great classic movie. What more can I say, this car kicks serious butt! Great art work!

Looks like after this generation they suddenly started looking like boring 'grey porridge' cars; until the most recent ones which looks more like a rival to the Holden

I draw cars fromm different eras and styles; whatever pleases me. Pre-war roadsters, 50s microcars, american cars from the 50s to 70s, 90s supercars, futuristic concepts, modern sports cars like TVRs ... I don't have a great deal of *very* modern cars simple because I don't like them as much, TVR being an exception as their styling is quite unique and doesn't go with all the ugly angles that are the in thing at the moment.

It's only called the Interceptor in the film, the real car is only called the Falcon. The Jensen Interceptor is a fairly different car, about the same age, but british. I did a drawing of one a couple,of years ago actually; here - [link]
